The Varytrap
The Varytrap is fitted between an auto trap of any make and it's existing platform. It has holes and slots to make installation simple for most, if not all, common makes of trap. Once installed, your Varytrap has abilities you would not have imagined a few minutes before. With all the exisiting trap adjustments set to zero, the Varytrap will swing it from 30 degrees left to 30 degrees right and from horizontal to 55 degrees vertical. Some traps can be adjusted to launch a very near vertical bird if required, Both lateral and vertical movements can be controlled separately which allows countless different launch positions.
Versatility
The versatility of the Varytrap makes it an ideal partner to any shoot organiser whilst it's versatility further enhances it's use for simulated game or DTL.
The Varytrap may also be used as an invaluable coaching aid, allowing a target to be varied in stages, without the need to attend the trap with a handful of spanners.
Construction
The robust construction is of 3mm steel, laser cut and precision folded. the sprocket bushes are self-lubricating whilst the bearings are sealed for a long and maintenance free life. The vertical pivots need lubricating annually.
The two main adjustments (7 vertical and 7 lateral) are by spring clip type clevises (spanner free) a third, (7 more lateral), requires a 13mm spanner but it is very unlikely to be used after the original set-up is achieved
Control
The controls of the Varytrap are very simple. The machine comes with 50 metres of cable and power consumption is such (less than 6amps) that in most cases, the supply cable can be simply clipped to the existing trap battery and which should last all shoot.
The Varytrap can also be operated by radio control including trap release if required.
